Your advantages as caregiver:

  • You arrange the details (working hours, payment, etc.) directly with the families.

Please note: we only place childminders who have experience in childcare - however, pedagogical training is not a requirement.

Application
Have you seen one or perhaps even several suitable job advertisements?
Please contact us. We will call you and have a short conversation with you. If your profile matches the family's needs, we will forward your contact details to them.

2. Create a profile as a childcare provider
In order for us to forward your data to the family, it is necessary for you to create a profile as a childcare provider on our website. This is free for you and the registration takes only a few minutes.
We manage your data with absolute confidentiality, and your uploaded documents are only accessible to famPLUS employees. The assigned family can only see your contact details (email and phone number) as well as the free text fields you have filled out. Additionally, you have the option to delete the profile at any time.
If you encounter any issues with registration, you can directly contact your point of contact.

3. Family will contact you
After successful registration, your profile will be forwarded to the family, and the family will have the opportunity to contact you.
The payment and type of employment are agreed directly with the family.
In the event that your availability changes or you are unable to attend appointments, we kindly ask you to communicate this to famPLUS in advance.

4. Start of the collaboration
If the family chooses you, they will get in touch with you. We will then contact you regarding a current extended police certificate, which is required. FamPLUS covers the cost for this.

In principle, you should be at least 17 years old. If you are under 18, parental consent is also required.

Minijob
A mini job is a marginal employment and allows earnings of up to 538 euros per month (6,456 euros per year). During a mini job employment, accident and social insurance coverage is provided.

Midijob (transition zone)

With a mid-job, a monthly income of up to 2,000 euros is possible. There are tax advantages compared to part-time and full-time employment, as well as accident and social insurance coverage.

Part-time/Full-time

A part-time and full-time position is fully subject to social security contributions. There is accident and social insurance coverage, and pension contributions are made.

Self-employment

When registering a self-employed activity with the relevant tax office, it is also possible to issue invoices. It is important that there are multiple clients to ensure that there is no false self-employment. In addition, the relevant insurance policies must be taken out independently.

For a mini-job, midi-job, and part-time/full-time employment, there is accident and social insurance coverage.

Additionally, it is advisable to have private liability insurance that particularly covers damages related to the supervision and transportation of children.

There is no insurance coverage through famPLUS.
