... and then came Corona...
What we urgently need in this challenging time is positive cooperation within the community—and a positive mindset for each individual. How do we get there? And how can our psychosocial expert team from famPLUS contribute to it? For this, we have brought in some reinforcement:
Christian Thiele – trainer, coach, author – is an expert in the field of positive psychology, particularly in Positive Leadership. A man who knows what he's talking about. As a former executive in the media industry, he worked and led in mostly very deficit-oriented cultures. "I always knew well about my weaknesses and those of my employees," he says. "But I did not lead by competencies and passions, nor was I led by them." Recognition? Appreciation? Virtually zero. "It gschimpfad isch gnua globad!" – "Not scolded is praise enough" – as a native of the Allgäu, he heard this saying often enough in his childhood and youth. Therefore, recognition, praise, and a focus on strengths are all the more important to him – for employees, leaders, and companies.
What drives him? Recognizing and living strengths, skills, and passions. More creativity, more meaningfulness, and more joy at work instead of frustration and resignation. Being able to handle stress better, moving more easily from conflict to cooperation.
The attitude and methods of positive psychology are the key. "By strengthening our STRENGTHS, we make (possibly existing) weaknesses irrelevant," says Thiele. As an expert in Positive Leadership, he has been supporting executives, teams, and organizations for over 10 years and is an asset to our clients. His trainings and workshops focus on topics such as mindfulness, strength-oriented (self-)leadership, meeting culture, motivation, self- and time management. His podcast "Leading Positively" provides valuable insights on current topics. https://positiv-fuehren.com/podcast/
Even in his private life, no summit is too high for the passionate mountaineer. He lives with his family in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and is active as a (ski) mountaineer both in summer and winter – he often takes customers or clients along. It's about experiencing boundaries – and turning back in time when it gets too risky, too late, or simply too arduous.
Keeping life and work in balance is a daily, rewarding challenge for him. We are very pleased to have Christian Thiele on board as a famPLUS expert for Positive Leadership.
